Who We Are
A Small Team with a Long Relationship with the Sea
Tidecraft grew out of a shared belief that time on the water should feel unhurried. When the company was founded in Pattaya more than eight years ago, the goal was straightforward: offer private yacht charters that were genuinely well run, with a crew that took the job seriously but didn't make guests feel like passengers on a packaged tour.
The Gulf of Thailand has a particular quality in the late afternoon — the light flattens out, the sea holds its colour, and everything slows down. We've spent years learning to read those conditions, and we've built an approach to chartering around them. Routes are chosen for what they offer, not just what's nearby.
Today Tidecraft serves a mix of couples, families, and small groups — some celebrating a specific occasion, others simply wanting a day away from the shore. What stays the same across every booking is the attention to detail: a well-prepared crew, a seaworthy vessel, and a genuine effort to make the experience feel like it was designed for you.
Our Mission
To create private charter experiences that let guests feel fully present on the water — with a crew that handles every detail and a fleet maintained to a standard we'd be comfortable with ourselves.
Our Values
- Safety over schedule — the sea sets the terms
- Honest communication from first enquiry to final departure
- Respect for the coastal environment and local waters
- Personalized service that adapts to the group
The Team
The People Behind Your Charter
A small, experienced crew who have spent their careers on the water.
Prawit Nakasat
Founder & Head Captain
Prawit has been sailing the Gulf of Thailand since his early twenties. He holds a Thai maritime officer licence and has led more than 600 private charter departures. He developed Tidecraft's approach to flexible routing after years noticing what guests actually wanted from their time at sea.
Siriporn Srisuk
Operations & Guest Experience
Siriporn manages booking coordination, crew logistics, and guest communication. She joined Tidecraft in 2019 after a background in hospitality along Pattaya's hotel strip. Her attention to the details guests notice — timing, meal preparation, tone of communication — shapes how each charter unfolds.
Krit Thongdee
First Mate & Marine Technician
Krit handles vessel maintenance and serves as first mate on longer voyages. His background in marine engineering means the fleet stays in reliable condition year-round. Guests on extended voyages often credit his quiet competence as a reason the trip felt effortless.
Standards
How We Keep the Fleet and Service at a Consistent Level
A well-run charter depends on preparation that happens well before guests step aboard.
Marine Safety Compliance
All vessels carry Department of Marine and Coastal Resources inspection certificates. Life jackets, flares, fire suppression equipment, and first aid kits are checked and refreshed on a defined schedule.
Vessel Maintenance Programme
Hull, engine, and rigging inspections are conducted at fixed intervals. Maintenance records are kept for each vessel. A pre-departure check is completed before every charter departure regardless of duration.
Crew Certification
Captains and first mates hold current Thai maritime licences appropriate to vessel class. Crew members undertake regular first aid refreshers and are trained in MOB (man overboard) procedures.
Environmental Responsibility
We follow no-anchor zones in coral areas, carry waste back to port, and avoid mooring near sensitive reef systems. Charter routes are planned to minimise repeated disturbance to the same anchorage sites.
Food Safety Practices
Ingredients are sourced fresh on the morning of departure. Onboard food handling follows Thai Department of Health guidelines for catering on vessels. Dietary needs are reviewed and confirmed before embarkation.
Guest Privacy & Data Handling
Booking information is kept securely and used only for charter coordination. We do not share personal data with third parties and retain contact details only for as long as operationally necessary.
Yacht Charter Services in the Gulf of Thailand
Tidecraft operates from Chon Buri province, serving the coastal stretch between Pattaya and the southern Gulf islands. The company's charter portfolio covers short evening departures for those with limited time, full-day itineraries that allow for snorkeling and island visits, and multi-day voyages for guests seeking a more immersive experience of Thailand's maritime geography.
The company maintains a small fleet rather than a large one, which allows for consistent crew familiarity with each vessel and closer attention to preparation. Vessels are not shared between separate booking groups; each charter is private to the party that books it. Route planning draws on years of local navigation knowledge, including awareness of seasonal sea conditions and the tidal patterns specific to this part of the Gulf.
For guests visiting the Pattaya area — whether on a short holiday or a longer stay — Tidecraft offers a way to see the coastline from a perspective that few manage on a typical trip. The team is straightforward to contact and takes a practical, no-pressure approach to discussing what a charter involves and whether it fits what a group is looking for.
